I have a 1994 Marada MVB and the seat is just bolted to the floor. It swivels around but it’s just to low and uncomfortable. Has anyone here experienced this? I thought about just building a box with a drawer to raise the seat up 4-5 inches. I would probably do the same to the passenger seat too.

I put a taller pedestal seat in my boat when I restored it. I always prefer to look over the windshield when driving it, so raising the seat was my solution, too. You can build a box, get a taller pedestal base, or replace the seat with one that has a bolster. Any of those could work.

You might consider using "Tee Nuts" to attach the seat to the box. That will keep the bolts and nuts out of the drawer.

That's a good suggestion. Those things are great for attaching the seat. Just be sure to get stainless Tee nuts.
