Re: Captain's Call/Thru hull exhaust on Tahoe?
Qik-Defiitely keep us updated!
I agree, there may be some slight performance improvement (read: less restrictive exhaust equals more power, just as in an automobile), but I like the performance sound. With the switched system that I want, you flip a toggle and (motorized direrter valve) go from the throaty thru-hull exhast back to the thru-prop stock exhaust. Purely for fun and the personal like factor. The big V-8 sounds really, really nice at idle! Anytime that I hear a CC-equipped boat fire up at the launch, it gets my attention and I stop and listen. Personal preference, that's all.
I think that the system that I like is around 3 large, plus installation. Definitely not cheap, but overall, my boat has far fewer mods (or even possible modifications) than my vehicles do, so that 3 grand is still cheaper overall than playing with a car or truck!
Lound pipes may also equal a perceived speed increase by the operator! ;-)
