Having trouble locating Numbers on 1977 ? Stringer

Starboard side of drive, half way down, forward edge. Should be a plate.

Mine was painted over. Held on by 2 small rivets. Feel for it. Right under the

water plates.

Or Not. All I had was the two Small Rivets. Made for a lot of fun research and picture taking. My OMC is attached to a 1999 5.0 Mercruiser Engine with no ID either. Oh, yea. Lots of fun.
