My father recently purchased small outboard motor, & was told it is a 3hp evinrude or johnson.<br />We have not been able to locate the model & year <br />info. The motor is dark blue, and appears to be a<br />later yr model judging by paint on the engine.<br />There were no engine covers and gas tank, steering<br />arm & other misc. parts came in a box.<br /><br />Note: did find # on an oil seal but, these don't<br />match up w/ the year & model code. Or am I viewing<br />incorrectly? <br /><br />Could the # be located somewhere on the shaft?<br /><br />Thanks, JW
