Can't find engine for 120 sport jet HELP

I am having a hard time finding an engine for my 1997 sugar sand with a 120hp sport jet xr2, I boats has a listing for them but when I call them they say can't find one, I have called other online retailers with the same result. I called mercury and just get the run around, they didn't seem to want to help out with older engines. I bought the boat with a rod sticking through the block so rebuilding my engine isn't an option. I am looking for a good used engine, a rebuildable core, or a rebuilt engine.

My second question is does anyone know if the block and rods from a 120hp force outboard engine will fit the pump? from what I have gathered the outboard has a different crankshaft splines, and isn't oil injected. has anyone modified a force engine to fit a sportjet?

Thery list it but can't get one. i called 2 times and verified.

I checked with my suppliers and no one has one built at this time. OBR said they may be able to build yours if crank was good. Precision doent even have any cores. I would try craigslist in Texas or California to see if someone has one blown or storm damaged.
