Can't decide who's the most annoying

Since I turn 65 this month and we live on the water with direct Gulf access I can't figure out weather I dislike the Medicare supplement people or the WE want to buy your house people. Both are relentless, the supplement people have gotten so bold that they stop at the house and knock at the door, not to mention the relentless supply of adds. The buy your house people never stop every day at lest 1 add comes and a couple times a month you get the text or voice mail " Hi I was just driving through your neighborhood and noticed your house, I was wondering if you would want a cash offer" I guess atrer the open enrollment at the supplement people might stop

Don't get many calls anymore because I'm on the national "do not call" list. They use to still call but every time they do, I report them to the FTC and their fined $1500 each time. It took a couple years but they sure don't like having to pay

Open the usps mail spam, and if it has a pre paid envelope, stuff the prepaid envelope w the original envelope & its contents and mail it back. Just tear/cut out name & address 1st

They don't stop unless they are reported (cost them). If your not on the list your not able to report

I used to get 2-3 calls a week offering to buy my house for cash.

I usually reply with 2.1 million. Then every time they speak, I go up 100k. The one realtor asked how I thought my house was worth that much...... My reply was "supply and demand".

The recent calls are solar, especially leased solar. My reply is usually "did you get approval in my HOA?"

Most of the calls have slowed down

The do not call list doesn't work.

Used to get a ton of spam email and phone calls.

Took care of phone calls by sending anyone not in my contacts list directly to voice mail. Blocked them if they didn’t leave a message.

Have a spam blocker on my email. Catches probably 90% of the incoming spam. The rest get added to the black list

Exactly what not to do…..most of these “reach outs” are trolling.

Once your email/phone number is confirmed as a valid contact, you get added to the “active” list and the phishing begins

I agree. Last year I decided I would answer in both the little Spanish I know or my fractured French and tell the callers I did not speak any English. A couple of weeks later my wife mentioned that it seemed that all the incoming calls we were getting were in some foreign language. I never told her why as she likes to play with callers too and see how long she can keep them on the phone with small talk about how many kids or grandkids they have etc. She says every minute she can keep them on the phone is someone else that is not being bothered.

No home phone anymore...not needed. My cell phone, which is a Pixel, has call screening.

I just turned 65 so the Medicare junk mail just went in the recycle. Not sure why this is a big deal to people and why it annoys them so much.

Your retired and need something to do, so have fun with it....I do...have even answered the door with just a towel and let it fall a few times especially when women are there !! When they call I go into a real tirade and they hang up, after a coupke times they don't call back. Don't be afraid to be rude and crude, they will get the message. Joined the do not call list, but it never stopped anything, to much work to file complaints, besides, harrassing these intruders can be so much fun!!
They are comming to your home uninvited and calling without invitation, so have a ball, they will get the message !! Don't hold back....

Me either, but it stopped them from comming back. Even had the police called one time, I told the police I ask them numerous times to leave and got tired of holding the towel so it dropped. Even rhe cop got a chuckle !!
