Problem: I cannot pump from marina pump into boat gas tank, while boat is in the water. I have tried when the water is calm also.
I take off the gas cap and I see gas floating in the neck of the tank about 2 inches below where the cap screws in. I know I am down to 1/4 tank from the amount of hours using boat.
I had noticed the problem last time out last year, the first time I tried to put gas in while on the water.
I filled the boat on land before launching it for the summer.
I keep it on a lift. I went back to the boat next day while it was on the lift and the gas is no longer floating up near the cap.
Many Thanks in advance.
