Well the last "Big" trip I wnted to make with my MFG was a trip through the Cape Cod Canal . On my last day of Vacation I decided the boat and weather were good to go . I launched in the Taylor Point marina , and puttered through the No-wake to the chanel by the Mass Maritime Academy. I asked Neptune for his blessing and powered into the deep current filled water .
As soon as i hit the canal I hear "BEEP---BEEP BEEP ---BEEP" Oh WTF I think to myself....then realize through the roar of my motor I'm hearing the fishfinder ! I had it set for the big fish setting , and untill then was quiet - it was going nuts !! (btw no fishing from your boat )
The MFG handled the waves and currents very well , I even had a couple of big 6' wakes to splash through , and as jaring as they were the boat did cut through them well .
I putted arround Mass bay for a few hours then came back through to Buzzards bay with out problems . peter
