I did see that the US advanced to the medal round with the 9-3 shellacking of Slovakia. There is still hope ...

Absolutely Art...in this kind of tournament with no best of 7 sub-series....all of these kids have a chance, which makes it really great on a game by game basis because everything can change

Interesting stat is that about 5 or 6 of the Russians are playing their Junior Hockey in Canada which makes for some fun 'bench and ice' chat between the players and maybe the fans?
The goalie Makarov is a big favourite in Saskatoon....gotta' love this international angle stuff.

I thought the game misconduct for the Russian player was a bit heavy handed myself....although I thought the penalty was fair.
