Motor needs to be wired to the boat but motor runs. Trailer is good. Depth/fish finder
Trolling motor. Closest guess gets a dollar.

inspect that transom and the stringers for rot. while the motor may run, old fiberglass boats often need lots of work.

the most expensive boats are the ones that are free or close to free as they need the most work.

Yeah the transom is in good condition and there isn’t anything but a few scratches. The boat had been used all last year and is actually still registered till July so they were using it. I’m a mechanic by trade so rewiring the motor isn’t an issue. Any tips on checking the integrity of the insides of the boat I can’t see visually?

Don’t have that picture right now but here’s this. I took all the internal panels off yesterday Switch box assembly looked a little funny but I haven’t checked to continuity yet.

You will likely find a control box on E-bay.----Plus anything else you would need.---But evaluate this boat for rotten transom / stringers.------And evaluate this motor top to bottom before spending any beer tokens on this project.

Judging from the pics, I could guess the boat sat outside in rain/ snow etc....chances are very high the stringers are soft and so is the transom. Not here to criticize, but you do need some serious inspecting to know how good/ bad the framework is. I have witnessed old boats come apart on the water while underway.....not a pretty site !!

I know of a yard full of boats like this.-----Most get cut up for land fill.----And most of them look pretty good as far as cosmetics is concerned.----But UNSAFE to use in big open water !

I would guess about a buck four ninety seven or so. Really, what you paid doesn't matter until it is solid and in good running condition. Then the question will be how much you have IN the boat/motor/trailer. Cheap boats CAN be expensive and expensive boats CAN be cheap after all the work supplies are factored into the equation. The bottom line is not the $ spent, but the enjoyment of the owner. So the questions really are, 1) how sound is the vessel and 2) how much are you enjoying your vessel?

Nothing I see is internal, if it runs your good, heck, have fun, and take a PFD with you..
