Hi, I have had a 1995 70hp Force outboard for 24 years! I have had 2 new stators during that time. Now it runs just fine and then will die and maybe restart , maybe not. I thought I remembered the earlier stator issues being that it would not start at all after the stator was bad. Can it be intermittent and fail after heating up? The only check I could get at on the wires was an ohm reading of 490 across the white/green wire and the green/white wires. Any thoughts ?
