I have a 2001 225hp EFI mercury outboard. The ignition ecm is part# 83004417s and the fuel ecm is part# 83004612s. I have noticed that the part numbers for a 2001 250HP EFI are for ignition ecm 83004417s, same as my 225HP EFI, and the fuel ecm part# is 83004613s. My first question is, would it work to put a 250HP fuel ecm on my motor. Second, would it help if it will work?
