ok, so i moved the bow cradle thing, and also put a new trailer jack on, one i had from my last boat...

but let me know what you guys think about the new configuration...

The strap needs to be a straight shot to the bow eye or you won't be able to get it up to the point you are in your photo.

Looks to me like you have a little more adjustment room by moving the winch mount forward and up.

Also, your winch may allow you to feed the strap from the bottom of the winch...that is if the ratchet works in the opposite direction. It might buy you a couple inches. That may or may not work depending if the strap will rub on the winch mount.

Not to add more confusion, but can you mount your spair tire under the trailer right where it is ?

Zuke, by your pics, I assume that your trailer was designed for another boat.
You may be better off and certainly safer, to have a welder build you a new bow stop. As mentioned before, The rubber stop or roller should be above the bow ring, to help "stop" the boat from sliding forward. Also, the winch strap should be straight.
It should look like this.

Mount your spare on the bottom or verticle on the opposite side of your winch crank.
