Welcome to iBoats!

Wow! This is pretty vague. You don't say what kind of boat, what size of boat, anything. I would really help us to help you if you gave us a BIT more details on your restoration.

Ive used the predone switch panels before, but in my opinion most of them are ugly or pretty expensive if they look decent. For the Holiday I picked up individual switches so I can put them where I want in the dash. They are LED lighted round ones so I can drill a hole where I want it and pop one in.

Re: Can i please see your switch panels ?

I'm rebuilding my small 14 foot starcraft holiday .. i was hoping some of you guys would show me pictures of your homemade switch panels. I remember seeing them made of aluminum diamond plate, etc .. but i cant really find to many threads with the pictures in them ... i went to west marine and purchased a switch panel with 6 circuits for 50 bucks but i don't have big enough of a dash to install the panel in the dash. The dash is structural. It supports the windshield and bow. I can't be putting large holes in it for a 6 inch by 4 inch switch panel. It's not big enough either way.

I was considering making my own as well but bought the west marine panel. I can always return it, but i wanted to see what you guys have before i started into mine ...

thanks ... see my link in my signature for pics of my boat ...

I'm not really understanding the 3 different threads for one boat, but I guess you do. It would make things a lot easier for everyone if they could review your entire build in one thread so as to see and read the entire process without having to go all over the place to get the info. That's why the forum recommends to keep everything in one thread.

I found these for your review.

I went with something like this http://www.boatersland.com/sierk22070.html for my switch panel. Then I took a piece of pvc board and made the rest of it. In the process now of bolting it on to the existing dash.

May not be what you are shooting for, but could give you a few ideas.
