My 18 ft Sylvan + 90 hp outboard are 20 feet 4 inches long. I have to put it in on an angle to fit. I used a swing tongue, also cut the winch post down and mounted the winch on top instead of behind it. The front of the trailer is now even with the front of the boat when the tongue is swung back. I could fit it straight in my garage if I took off the prop and drilled a hole through the garage for the prop shaft to stick out but I made the mistake of asking my wife for permission.
