OK, so here is the story....
I need to replace the wood in the engine mount for my 3.7L.[crossways in front of engine]. Now I know I have to lift the engine to remove the front mount, but here is my issue....
The glass covering is in realy good shape. And frankly the wood is not that bad at all. Just getting a little wet, and mount screws still hold. Now, the rear part of the glass is VERY hard to get to without pulling the engine all the way. [oil pan is in the way] The front part will have pleanty of clearance once I remove the tank. Can I cut the front part of the glass skin, remove the rotted wood, and replace, and keep the front half of the glass "channel" intact??? Is that dooable????
