Can anyone use?

I have an aluminum prop and have no use for it. Two years ago I bought a 22' Toon. Before I could replace the deck and top, some SON OF A *%&^$# hooked up and towed it away from the storage yard. I hate a thief!

Anyway it had a 25 hp Evinrude. Right now I'm sitting at the puter, looking at this prop and getting mad all over again. It is in great condition and should be used. It is marked 9X10 with a # on the bottom 383629.

If anyone can use it, no charge, arrange the shipping with UPS or send me the postage and it's yours. I really hope someone who has given me such good advise and tips in the last six months could use it.

Happy Boating all and remember Spring is just around the corner. :D :D :D Hal

I also hate a thief. Sorry to hear about the boat theft. I know how you feel staring at that prop.I have a handheld TV that was less than a year old, when one of the kids in the nieghborhood,waltzed-into my house and stole it. And this little puke was allways welcome to go fishing with me!! I haven't taken him since.I haven't talked to him since. I have a motion-activated camera mounted in my puter room and the garage, and that's how I caught him.The saddest part was playing the tape to his mother while the tears welled-up in her eyes. What can you say to a mom so betrayed?
Anyway, this little mutant broke-off the antenna and the fold out stand in an attempt to make it appear that he found it on a trash pile (the line he fed his mother).
It broke my heart every time I looked at it, so I gave it to a coworker who really could use it.

Harrison & 12Footer - I'm very sorry to hear about your losses and am also impressed with your generousity. Harrison - I hope that you were able to replace the boat.

12Footer - I'm interested in those motion-activated cameras, since I'm looking at buying some for our local school - which is having a bad time with vandalism. I don't know much about them, they sound like what we need and any advice based on your experience would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hal, if you haven't found a new home for the prop yet, here it is! I have a 16' skiff with a 25hp that I use as a beachcomber boat (hate to put the 'glass on one the rocks) The prop on it is pretty worked over, but I haven't been able to justify the $ for a new one. If you'll part with it, I'll take good care of it! :D

Schematic - Thanks for answering this and my other recent questions also.

These cameras look surprisingly inexpensive and ideal for catching vandals at the school. Might also get one to watch the boat out the front of the house - this obviously worked well for 12Footer.

Hi Fouled Plug. Give me a mailing address, my e-mail is below. I'll package it up and send it to ya. I'm just glad that someone will get some use out of it. Other than worn off paint on the edges the prop is like new. Enjoy!

The Pontoon boat in question was spotted recently, it's been gone for two years now. I went to the P. Dept. but I told them the numbers were probably changed, etc. The original owner got with them and described modifications that I.D.'ed both the Boat & Trailer. The Police turned it over to an investigator for the DMV. It kind of looks like I'll get it back.

E-Mail me Fouled Plug, I'll get the prop right out to you, enjoy. Springs on the way, Happy Boating. Hal

E-Mail---harrison20002@yahoo.com
:D :D :D

Re: Can anyone use?

These are the cameras I use at home also, 62.
They are cheap. The quality and resolution kinda bite, but for the price, they aren't bad. I had a bad experiance with local law enforcement on the water. I built my first "monitoring system" to catch this so called "officer" in the act next time..If there IS a next time.
But anyway, that was more expensive than the X-10 stuff, and doesn't include motion sensing.
I also used a motion detector from Radio Shack, hooked to a camcorder. The risk here is, the camcorder gets stolen LOL.
The more descrete, the better. And the "XC10A" remote camera transmits it's signal,so the mutants don't have a cable trail to follow. Add to this, it operates on 6-12VDC., transmits for 172 hours on a singal TM baterry charge, and you have a very good chance of retaining your equipment, and catching the teenage mutant ninja pukes in the act.

Re: Can anyone use?

Thanks 12Footer, I talked to someone locally who uses those cameras too and he said much the same as you about quality, price & suitability. You made a good point about losing the camcorder - then we'd really be in a pickle! I think these units might help us catch whoever's been kicking in wall panels and smashing windows up at the school. Thanks again for your help.

Hal - Good luck with recovering your boat, sounds like you've had a lucky break there!
