GulfBreeze Info
The skiff company that produced a 12 ft two seat skiff and a 14 ft two seat skiff with storage compartments in mid-skiff was located in Gulf Breeze Florida on the south side of Pensacola. Late 60's early 70's was the time frame.
The 12 footer was 54 wide and had a slightly deeper keel than most skiffs. The keel added stability and ease of steering. The bow design sliced through rough water in good fashion.
The 14 footer was a good quality narrow beam tri-hull that tracked well and did not get blown around like skiffs with a flat bottom.
Excellent for slow trolling for speckled trout as again the deep tri-hull keels added resistance to being blown off course. You might find the wood in the stern rotted out but all you have to do is cut the inside skin, replace with marine or treated plywood then reseal with fiberglass.
The 12s were rated for a 25hp and the 14 s could handle up to a 35 2 cycle outboards. Fun skiffs at high speed as they collect air between the tri-hull keels and fly. Just be careful not to turn sharply as they will turn and the occupants may not. Corners well in other words.
