Can anyone identify this boat?
I don't think I posted the images right, but I hope it works out OK.
I got this boat, motor and trailer for $500.00 and I know nothing about boats, yet!
I would like to fix it up to do some fishing and take the grand kids out.
I'm a mechanic by trade and a pretty good carpenter, so I think I can do it.
There is no hull numbers (that I can find) and the only other boat I've seen on the internet with a hood scoop looking thing is a inboard Correct Craft.
Any help with this project will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Larry

Re: Can anyone identify this boat?

Do you think so Rick?
Most of the chryslers i've seen have pontoon looking things out the sides, I'll try to post a better pic of the hull.
I am pretty sure it is from the the 70s (a brown boat with buckskin interior and no HIN), but I have never seen one like this before.
Thanks Larry

Thought it might be from the chrome V on the front......after looking at the old pictures of Chryslers the V is on the back of the closed bow like a Valiant.... Some one will see it and figure it out....post more pics

Nice looking boat. I don't think Chrysler, hard to tell. It has a square windshield on it which tells me maybe 70's. Look at the transom from the back of your boat. See if there is a 12 digit HIN number at the top right corner of the transom. This will give you all your info. If you don't know where to find the info, put it on here and we can help ya.

Here is a couple more pics, one of the hull, and one of the deck.
I don't know the purpose of the imitation hood scoop, I guess the designers thought it looked cool in the 70s.

I thought it was a good deal, it came with a Garmim 240 fishfinder, and a Garmin 152 GPS,5 life vests, all the saftey equipment, a top (pretty ratty, but good for a pattern)and a cinder block anchor!
You would think the guy would buy a anchor before he bought a fishfinder, but, to each their own.
I was thinking , maybe I'd start a business, call it "Larry's Anchors" and for only $21.99 you get a cinder block and 50 feet of 1/4 inch rope.
I'd make a fortune.
