My trailer is 31' ball to prop, 8.5' wide, I pull it 220 miles twice a year, no problem. I pull it with my motorhome, so the width of the tow vehicle and trailer are both 8.5' and I am 67' long.

My 24' is about 3,400 pounds - plus 900 pounds for the trailer. Tows just fine behind the Galactica (F-250), with or without the camper in the bed of the truck. Backing it up my long narrow (and not straight) driveway is fun! I put a front hitch on the truck - made all the difference in the world.

Not that is a great idea in your situation!!!
Another thing about my float on thats a downside i guess, its so narrow empty its impossible to see it backing up while straight out of the side mirrows - I have to really strech my neck to see the end of it in my rear view while backing down to ramp out of my Ford 4x4:(
