Can’t get boat to plain 1987 Glass port omc cobra

Hello I have a 1987 Glass port with a 2.3 cobra. The issue I’m having is it won’t plain. It will straight scoot across the water hauling butt. However the bow of the boat just stick up in the air won’t come down. I’m new to all of this so be easy on me. I’ve read it’s had something to do with the trim. Can someone explain how I need the trim to get it to plain or any other tips? Weight distribution is fine. Any help is welcome! Thank you!

You should be starting with the outdrive trimmed all the way down then when the boat gets up on plane you can trim up a bit to get the bow up slightly.
