California sued over wind generators

[KRS]

An environmental group (those who want to reduce our consumption of fossil fuels) have sued California for their use of wind generating stations (the giant towers that use wind to produce electricity instead of burning fossil fuels) because the towers are killing birds.<br /><br />And the center for biological diversity is suing some group in the East because bats are flying into the blades.<br /><br />wow.... I'm speechless.

I live pretty close to the "wind farms" as theyre called in the Palm Springs area. Most of them dont even work and havent for years. Theres a Dutch company thats been buying up the land and putting in new generators that actually do produce energy at a reasonable cost. THATS why the environmentalists are fighting them. What people forget is that originally that whole thing started back in the Carter days as he pushed alternative energy and it ended up as some major tax shelters for investors. Now that a company is actually making a $$$ off of it the tree huggers are suddenly goign to be against it. Their latest dodge has been to claim endangered species are flying into the blades of the generators constantly. Too bad more libs dont then maybe they would be an endangered species, lol.

It and they are all crap. I know, they basically pay my salary and I've about had it. They want no diesel, no windmills, no dams, no coal, no drilling, no oil profits, no nukes. <br /><br />I've always had a place in my heart for cavemen. These guys want us to actually live that way. Personally I can see no other end game from their silliness . . .

It goes beyond silliness QC. Whether the PW's and Rolmops are aware or care about the end game of their party, it is immaterial. What the Left wants, after all your list of 'no's', is NO POWER, period. The Left detests the power of the United States and as is being demonstrated, are willing to go to any lengths to reduce the power and influence of this evil country to or below that of the third world. Once that occurs they can have their will.<br /><br />That is their endgame. When you put all of the pieces together, it could be no other.

ahhhh yes...you have all the freedom of choice you want as long as you are in lock step with their hive mind. <br /><br />It reminds me of a supposed quote of Henry Ford when asked why he only sold black cars. He said thats not true! He said you can get a car from him in any color you want....as long as you want black.

Hate to break it to ya Blade, but some shrieky extremist website is not indicative of an entire party's mindset or "agenda". Posting things like this is exactly why there is so much division. you are just begging for someone to post a link to some extreme right wing website that is just as incoherent and idiotic (and they are out there). In reality, you are no better than the leftist extremists who call the right a bunch of money grubbing narrow minded churchy hicks. If you want to represent your party with integrity, then act accordingly. Otherwise, you are no better than those who you are pointing out.<br /><br />I have a lot of friends in both parties, and none of them act the way they are made out to on this forum. If I were to fall victim to every bit of shreiky rhetoric that is posted here or elswhere, I would have no friends at all. Just be realistic, the generalizations on this forum are 100% biased and ill informed, and are not indicative of what is really happening out there. We have about 200 wind generators going up near me at the rate of 3 per day. well over 100 are already up but none running yet.

Im not to much in discussing politics but i try on occasion,but i really dont understand any of this,suing because bats are flying into windmills??or theres a moth living in on some land the power company wants,Just like around here a few years back they started building a dam and got more than halfway through with it when the enviromentalist said there was an extinct snaildarte minnow or something there,so they tore down what had they had completed a year later came back said the snaildarter was everwere all that money and resourse wasted.The people against all this want power and cheaper ways of getting but they dont want to comprimise anything,i may have a simple mind and think simple, but i just dont get it.How many of these people complained about the brownouts a few years back??This may not make too much sense, but i tried to put in words what im trying to say.

I posted a link to an "are you a liberal" poll a month ago or so. Many scoffed at it because it listed some extreme positions etc. The point was and still is that the so called "leaders" of the Democratic Party do believe those things and if you support them that is what they think YOU want. A similar thing is happening on Cape Cod. After pushing for years to get a wind farm built the granolas are all up in arms because someone actually is planning on doing it...and spoiling their view in the process.
