Last year my shower valve went bad in my head. Kept leaking for the last 2 months of the season. Its odd how 2 to 3 drops a minuet will deplete your fresh water supply plus fill your holding tank.
I started my search on finding the valve I needed. I needed a two handle faucet that accepts just the shower hose. Of course I checked here at iboats, but they didn't have what I needed. I did find only one marine parts place that had one that was just about all plastic for $38. My old one is 100% metal and I have problems spending $38 on a piece of plastic.
The other night I thought about checking at RV centers for parts. Bingo! I found one for $32. Ordered it and received it today. Opened it up and it is all metal.
I just thought that I would pass on that if you can't find a part for your cabin or head, check with some RV parts suppliers. Now all I need is a shifter cable which I will order though my favorite marine source....(iboats if you had to ask).............SS
