Does anyone know why the depth gauge on my Bayliner Capri is reading (.1)?
It usually reads in total feet, as in 8 feet, 9 feet, 10 feet. But today for some reason it was reading .1, .2, .3. It seems it was measuring in 10's of feet so .2 was about 20 feet of water but why did it change and how do I change it back?

Re: Byliner Capri Depth gauge

Is it a factory depth gauge? Never heard of a factory depth gauge. I was using a fish finder as my depth gauge (don't fish much), but I came across a really cool one in the Overton's catalog for $99. It just a depth gauge & it looks like a regular 2 1/16" round gauge. It will measure in feet or fathom's, that's why I mentioned it, maybe yours was reset to measure in fathoms. Just a guess. Post a picture if you can, I have a Bayliner Capri & would like to see what it looks like.

If its one of the Faria guages, they generally have a mode button that is used to set it up.
