Question: Has anyone got any good info from buying direct from Tahoe. I'm looking to possibly purchase the removable carpet setup for my Q5i, and really don't know where to start.

If anyone also has any suggestions of companies who make custom fit carpeting for boats would be appreciated.

Thanks

Buy carpet and take to local trim shop and have them pu edging on it. Have done this before and works great.

Re: Buying from Tahoe...carpet

Our local carpet stores carry a full line of boat carpets--since we have three major lakes within 20 miles.

Just make yourself a template of what you want to cover, and transfer it to the back of the carpet with a Sharpie. Cut the carpet out, and have the carpet store put an edging around the carpet.

The boat factories will eat your pocketbook for such a simple job task.

Re: Buying from Tahoe...carpet

I would like to remove the factory glued down carpet in my Q4 f/s and do exactly what you guys are talking about. It would be great to remove the carpet while fishing. My questions is, how well will the carpet come up? Will I have to sand or recoat the floor? I'm afraid once I pull the stock carpet, I'll have on mell of a hess on my hands! I would like the floor to look fairly decent without the carpet installed also. This is probably a question more suited for the general boating section, but I'm also interested on where you can find the snap in stuff for my Tahoe.

Interested in the same, it would be much easier to clean I think.
