I am looking at buying a used 18 ft speed boat from Craig s list what paperwork am I going to need from the seller to registration in my name I live lower main land bc just don't want to get screwed over thanks any help would be great
Hi. Is the boat coming from the US, or is it already registered in Canada? At a minimum you need a bill of sale, and you will have to satisfy yourself that the seller has legal title. Have a look at the regs -
Don't guess, call your local registering agency and get a list, sellers are in ho hurrie to supply paper work after money exchanges hands, and a lot don't have it in the first place.
