Buying a new boat

I am new to the forum and looking to buy a boat. I pretty much know nothing about boats, which sucks. I hate not knowing what i am talking about.

I have found a boat that i am interested and would like some input on whether it is a good deal.

Some more useful info:430 hours and it was made in 89.

What i am looking for is a boat that would not be expensive to maintain, or get fixed. I know this model is no longer in production so i am a little concerned with that.
I would be using the boat for cruising, tubing, and would like to eventually learn to ski and wakeboard.
Would this boat be a good fit? If not what boat would you guys recommened for a beginer? I want to buy a boat that i can keep for years and grow with, not have to trade in two years when i out grow it. Thanx for any input.

lol not that boat. Id recommend a aluminum starcraft super fisherman or fishmaster 196. They are easy to tow, decent price used if you can find one. I think that is a perfect boat but im a little jaded. Outboards can be just as fun and aluminums have a great resale. Being your new to boating id stick with simple boats maybe glastron 18ft fiber i did see one other day $8700, maybe new bayliner striped out 18ft range 13kish

Thanx for the info. I am looking for some thing a little bigger than those boats.

If you go to nadaguides.com the value of the boat is only around $5000.00. With the trailer add another $1500.00. The asking price of that boat is real high even if the condition is brand new.
