Bunk bracket suggestions

I'm considering converting my rollers over to bunks. I have a low slung drop axle trailer w/ only 6" of ground clearance. Is there a bunk bracket available that can be mounted on the cross member that will not protrude below the cross member and catch/snag/drag as the lowest point of the trailer? I am familiar with the vertical L brackets, but would like to run 2x6's horizontally due to my available space at the forward/angled cross member. A standard bolster bracket w/ adjustable bracket will work fine at that location, it's just the transom location that is perplexing me. Most examples I have seen with a similar arrangement, low ground clearance and bunks, have welded on brackets for the bunks to rest upon.

I have 10" of space between the transom cross member and hull, and 4.5" of space at the forward cross member. I could raise the overall height a bit, but it's rests on the trailer rather nicely as it is currently configured.

Varying lengths available through varying manufacturers. You may have to improvise and cut a bracket down to the size you need. A hacksaw will work if you don't have a grinder / cut off wheel / etc...

Yeah, that was a thought too, just lop off the tail that would hang below the cross member. Just wonder if it would compromise the structural integrity as the U bolt wouldn't be completely captured on the lower leg. Also thought I could just drill through the frame and bolt on directly, but still wouldn't be a secure as the U bolt on top and bottom for complete capture.

Use Grade 8 washers, done deal. If you're really worried about it, take it to a local welder and have them weld up the gap where needed. Probably cost a few beer tokens.
