Bubbling coming from eyebolt well when filling waste tank

Noticed something strange the other day at the fuel/pump-out dock:
After pumping out, I refilled the tank with fresh water.
During that time, there was a bubbling coming from the eyebolt well (where the eyebolt attaches the swim deck to the transom) on the starboard swim deck.
There was also a slight waste odor.
Is this a sign that the Dometic waste tank filter needs changing?

As for the smell, it may need a new filter if the order remains when tank is not being flushed. When the toilet is flushed the air comes out to fast for the filter to contain all of it. After the flush, there should be next to no smell if filter is working. Its full of activated charcoal which absorbes the odor

Not sure I'm following you, but . . . You pumped out the waste tank and then "refilled the tank with fresh water" . . . which tank are you referring to in re-filling? The fresh water tank or the waste tank? :noidea:
