Sunday in Portland, Maine – Day 70 | Boating Tales


This is the Portland Head Lighthouse, an historic lighthouse in Cape Elizabeth, Maine. It sits on a head of land at the entrance of the primary shipping channel into Portland Harbor, which is within Casco Bay in the Gulf of Maine. Construction on the Portland Head Lighthouse began in 1787 at the direction of George Washington, and was completed in early 1791. Whale oil lamps were originally used for illumination.

Circle Route Down East Completed!!! - Day 71 | Boating Tales

Here we are back at the Bosun’s Marine docks in East Falmouth after having just ended our Down Wast Circle Route. I could not have done it without my priceless First Mate!

And for me, Captain Bruno Vassel, I’d like to thank all of you for following along with us and helping us to live this amazing dream. Please continue to follow us as we have new adventures to enjoy boating and fishing around Martha’s Vineyard and beyond for the rest of the summer.
