broken anti syphon valve

I have a 1989 thompson with a no-start issue, i have checked everything out and have come to the conclusion it was my pickup tube where my anti- syphon vale is. I have a compartment where this is accessible, my problem is that when i started inspecting the hose the valve broke off in my hand without any use of tools.Now,how do i remove the pickup tube out of the tank.

If the tube is welded in your not going to be able to do it. Is there any part of the fitting inside the tube or all one piece?

Normally A-S valves unscrew. Also, normally fuel tank pickups unscrew. I have seen fuel tank pickups that were pressed in, Maybe that could be pried out and tapped to reinstall.
