I've never said that all problems were US problems. It is the reason we have G7 meetings, and a WTO. And yes, many countries practice protectionist policies, which are virtually always bad. (there are times, for national security reasons, it is important to maintain healthy industries in some fields even if they are non-competitve, but that is a different issue)<br /><br />It is difficult to credibly argue against such policies when you practice them yourselves, however.<br /><br />And the new administration has gone out of their way to thumb their noses at Europe, and it is not surprising that there is retaliation. It is not surprising as well that Europe is not always pro-trade either. We need to work on them.<br /><br />And what is this "Love it or leave it!" stance? It is ridiculous. I always work for a better America, as it is my home.
