And regards Israel, while I understand why Israel exists......what exactly does Israel provide..in goods and the like........<br /><br />Other than a propped up nation? Ideology is my belief......an ideology of guilt and the like from sympathy regarding what the Hitler regime did as well as spawned from the Muslim Arab hatred.......<br /><br />Sorry I am a tad bit hot on this......were it Bush, Putin, et al being reported to be ill may have a greater impact for me. But why JB? Other than religious intolerance, Muslims hating Jews, and so forth. The effect is pure political. Nothing to do with hard "objects", or goods, commodities that the "world" requires.<br /><br />To your post JB, I do understand the world of politics, finances, back room deals and influence. Are these the effects you refer too? I do suppose these are real consequences to allowing the US protection of Israel to wane. However, once the nations we buy our oil from realize that nations such as China are as viable a market for crude as the trusty USA, and perhaps a more desirable customer, those same nations who merely tolerate Israel due to the USA buying their crude, will no longer tolerate the USA protecting Israel. long winded and poorly structured language there. Sorry. And maybe a poor point. But consideration is warranted.
