I have a bravo upper drive shaft housing stamped 1589 - 8867 - c6
Looking through merc service manual #11 I can only find reference to c, c2, and c3 being early style and c5 being being 1991 and newer. My service manual was published in march 1998 so I'm assuming the c6 suffix is newer than the book. Any way to tell when this housing was made and what is the difference between c5 and c6?
