02 Mercruiser 350MAG(Eng Ser#OM330551) MPI with a BIII(Stern Drive#OM128044)

I bought the boat last year with 120hrs on it and drive lube leak in the bilge. I had the boat serviced and the Shaft Seals and the bearin was replaced along with the Yoke Seal. After the 4th weekend I noticed the reservoir was down past the low level mark. I filled the reservoir. Two days later while sitting onthe trailer in storage the fluid is low again? While towing home today, fluid started to leak from the drain plug which means the bilge is getting fluid in it again. What would cause those seals and bearings to go AGAIN in such a short time(Less than a 100hrs)? Keep in mind I have done no troubleshooting at this time. I plan to pull the drive tomorrow and see whats up.

Re: Bravo III Leaking, AGAIN?

Did your service shop suggest you should replace the yoke?

Usually the yoke should always be replaced if there is any type of pitting, wear marks, etc. If you continue to run on an damaged yoke, then you will wear out new seals in no time.

Merc part number 864245T, YOKE, (GEAR END) MSRP: $175.88. See item number 25,

Good luck.:)

I asked at the time since it was all apart but was told there was no reason?? Strange though this weekend the drive lost no more lube on either day? Not real sure what to think at this point??

Not real sure what to do at this point but just ride till the summer is over. Two weekends of running and watching the lube monitor and nothing else has leaked out and the bilge is once again dry? I've heard of oil/lubes settling but can anyone explain what has happened here?
