Bravo 3 steering cable removal

Steering on my Bravo 3 has locked solid at the helm. Went to undo cable nut to check cable but whole cylinder nut is attached to rotates at same time. Any tips on how to stop cylinder moving?

Look on the far right for the tube, you`ll see 2 flats, hold it there. when your done the flats must be vertical after the new cable is installed.

Ok I found manual online with this info so I should be ok to hold cable guide with a wrench
