I'm thinking about putting my pontoon in the upper chesapeake bay. Do the toons need bottom paint? They are not coated, and I just power wash them every year as the boat has been fresh water only.
The engine is a new 2021 merc 115 hp CT, long shaft. I will read the manual again but what extra precautions, if any, would be needed.
The boats are dry docked from Nov. to april....

im working on the added costs incurred if I do this......like $2500 per slip instead of $800...

Depends on where you are on "upper" Chesapeake?

Should be alright w/o at Havre de Grace.
Not so good at Kent Island where my boss keeps his on a lift
