Bracket mounted motor on deckboat

I'm looking at getting a 21' deckliner with a bracket mounted 200hp Yamaha offshore series motor. I'm not familiar with a bracket mount like this. It sure seems to be sticking out pretty far and I was curious what this did to hole shots and life of the transom. The seller has assured me this a factory mount and inside the fiberglass casing is steel tubes. Thoughts?
