Hello,
Does anyone have experience with Boysen Reeds? Would they help my 89' Merc 100? Are they worth it?
Thanks in advance,
Little Bear

Re: Boysen Power Reeds

I have used the Boyesen reeds for years. They really help in higher RPM motors. They also allow a smoother transition through the RPM range. The only thing that kills them is a lean idle condition. Also on cold starts make sure you prime (choke) the motor to keep the reeds wet.

Good luck!
Also, they are made of composites,so when a reed is injested into the intake,it justs chewed-up and spit-out, wereas the stock metal reeds do the chewing and spitting.

------------------
Sandbar? Sandbar? I don't see no stinking sanDBARRRrrrrr!!!
