Boyesen Reed on a 140

Has anyone tried boyesen reeds on their motor? Mine is down right now for an overhaul and I am considering using them over the stock units.. <br /><br />Thanks

No matter which 140 you have youll like the Boyesens. Very smooth transitions from one rpm band to another, good idle, very smooth overall. just make sure the motor does not "sneeze" or lean pop at idle. that'll burn a tip in a heartbeat.<br /><br />Good luck!

Thanks,, <br /><br />I am using jets for sea level an I generally run the boat at about 1200' (a lake!!) So it should be somewhat rich at idle.. <br /><br />Tom
