I missed the game, due to some unforseen pleasure. Something I've been wanting to do in awhile. Spent the night in the swamp. Another story..

Given the score at the time, yes, they were technically in it. But, it wasn't so much the score. It was the fact that LSU had one decent drive. Other than that, they couldn't move the ball. Alabama's offense was able to go up and down the field. Alabama dominated both sides of the ball. The score could have been much worse.
When I was surf fishing, we were using shrimp as "bait". More than once I thought, "nuts to this, I'm going to cook 'em"! I guess one man's bait is another man's dinner.

You are right they shouldn't have. OK State should have played. There were a lot of teams that could have beat LSU last night.
OK State barely lost the day after they found out their woman's basketball coach died in a plane crash and the whole university was in mourning.
