Tough day yesterday for the Big 10(12:confused:). Penn State, Nebraska, Ohio State and Wisconsin all lost. Michigan State somehow pulled it off in triple overtime! The wife was extremely happy(me too)...

Wisconsin gave Oregon a run for their money! No defense to speak off between the two. That last fumble hurt big time. And the "not in time" spiked ball killed them.. Still proud of what Wisconsin accomplished, most people didn't give them a chance.....

Ok State won. The AP is talking about a possible split title if Alabama wins? Wrong. If you're not playing in the Chapionship game, you should have no chance at the title.....

Re: Bowl Games

I watched Parts of the Oregon game and the Wisconsin Game and they were both very good games, I just don't know what happened to Defense in College Football?

Personally I think Wisconsin got hosed, how can they release the ball for play and start the clock with the Referee in the middle of the Line? Not saying it would have changed the game but......

As to your point about shared Championship, until College Football gets over the money issue and goes to a true playoff system this is the way it is and I think it will always be this way, there is simply too much money at stake, I mean I wouldn't be surprised to see NFL football go to a Bowl system there is so much money a stake!

Michigan for the win! Caught the end of the game. Saw a sign, "Spartan tears taste like Sugar". Clever. Both Michigan teams won their games. And the only Big10 wins. Must be lots of celebrating in MI....

Whooo Go Blue, the only thing I was upset about was they should`ve stopped them when they went for 2. I had 7-5

The rules are that the clock starts once the ball gets placed after a first down. Clock didn't even start right away at that. Coach blew it by not just running a play just like he blew it at the end of the first half not calling a time out and at the beginning of the second half using 2 time outs!

I really don't think it would have made any difference if they had gotten the play off, and I think the coach blew the time management of the game, and they should have run a play instead of trying to spike the ball. It is Wisconsin's fault they did not get another play off.

With that said, the official that starts play should be in a place where the QB can see. I could not hear him blow his whistle to start play, so I don't know exactly when the clock started in relation to when the QB would know. But the official that places the ball needs to be out of the way so the ball can be snapped when the clock starts.

The rule says the clock starts when the official "declares the ball is ready for play".

Captain I'm  about the email alert. For some strange reason I thought you might not be tuned in.

What a game, I saw the strangest play I've ever seen on their 3rd touchdown. Now it's a rout. Grannyd is eating a orange and I'm having trouble keeping her calm.

I have to to to bed so I can get up and go to work.

The BCS is a crock. Every other division has a playoff system thaat seems to work fine. Also, what's the deal with 35 bowl games and teams getting in without even a winning record? I hardly watched any of it this year, though I saw a good bit of the Rose Bowl. It would have been nice if Wisconsin had bothered to bring their defense.

I was rooting for the 'eers because I hate Clemson (long story), but I never expected it to be such a blowout! Congrats Capt!

drrpm, you hit the nail on the head. College football needs a playoff system. I doubt it will ever happen in my lifetime but hopefully it comes about someday.

LETS GO MOUNTAINEERS!!!

Any city can host a bowl game as long as they find 2 teams willing to play and they find a sponsor. Non BCS bowls are invites. Just a matter whether a team accepts or not... Still waiting for the Toilet Bowl..........

Cograts on the win, Sasto!
