hi everyone. I have a small (like boston whaller)boat 8,5ft / 100lbrs with small engine 5hp/4stroke and when i'm alone in the boat and i'm sitting in the stern the bow going up.Very much up.If i add some extension to push the outboard 4-10 inches away from stern -something like bracket- will i have some profit? This problem hapent with small or high speed/rpm because of the big my wheight.

or move some weight fwd another way. ie fuel tank. anything of weight like anchors, coolers, etc. heck, throw a big rock in the bow... kinda kidding. but point is. like bond-o said, ya need to move weight fwd. not aft...

Re: bow up

hi you need a bigger boat any big guy in a 8 ft boat witha motor on the back is going to run bow high and putting enough weight up front to balance it could be to much weight.

Re: bow up

Just a guess, but I would think it will dig in harder from leverage/center of gravity and make bow ride higher??? A bracket would put more weight aft of hulls middle point.

Do you have motor tilted all the way down?

Re: bow up

yes. the motor is tilted in last hole down. I think only way is to sitting in the middleo with an tiller extencion. The problem is that in my fishing way must always change bettwen forward-neutral. So,i need an extencion for gear too.
