Bow roller stop fit

My bow roller is cracked and needing replacement. This is the original bow roller that came with a 2010 br175. While it looks like the boat isn’t sitting perfectly on the original blue it looks like there will always be a space and the contact will always be on the sides of the roller.

I ordered a new 4” roller and end caps and the V is quite a bit deeper. The boat kinda sits on the edges of both the roller and the end caps.

Is this an acceptable fit? Not a pile of weight rests on this roller but there is some and when cranking the winch there is movement over this.

There isn’t a good selection of anything but rubber rollers locally so this was ordered online. Will be hard to get a good fit I am thinking.

a block of wood would do the same thing the roller does. its to stop the boat when you crank it on with the winch. many times its a v-block and not a roller

your fine
