Bow light

So when I bought my boat my front bow light didn't work or come on. It was old and faded so I replaced my bow light with a new assembly. When I turn my bow light on nothing lights up but all the wiring from the light to the switch is all good and intact. What else should I be looking for is the bow light on a separate fuse,or could I have a bad ground. I don't think it's the switch because if I turn on bot the bow and anchor light the anchor light comes on but no bow light. I was gunna buy a universal bow light but I figured I leave a post on here and see if anyone can point me in the right direction please to solve this issue so I don't spend money for nothing but also so I don't get a ticket for not having a working light.thank you dan

Not a fuse, or the anchor lite wouldn't be working.
Likely the ground.

I vote for oxidation within the switch. There are different contacts for bow and anchor lamps.

So it was a bad ground and now my navigation lights and anchor lights both work. Thank you for answering my question I appreciate it.
