Re: Bow Eye

Is there a hole where the bow eye was ? If so then go get an eye bolt with a good sized washer and install it . Depending on how heavy your boat is that should work to get it on the trailer .. If you want to install a permanent eye there may be some repairs that need to be made before hand .

Re: Bow Eye

It can probably be put on with come-alongs using the stern eyes or even deck cleats, or simply brute force. But forget about EVER driving it on the highway because you are risking other people's lives.

If it is wooden boat the stem should be strong enough to handle a bow eye installation, with proper tools and a long shank drill. If it a fiberglass boat with no original eye in the stem, its not intended for trailering so forgetaboutit.
