Bouncing Boat???

I have a 16 1/2 foot flat bottom Sea Nymph with a 50hp Johnson and if the boat is going with the waves the boat rides fine. but if im going against the waves she bounces, and not a little. It actually slams the water really hard. Is there any way to correct this?

Flat bottom boats do that, its like being on a scate board verses a 4 wheel independant suspension caddy, the V of a boat allows it to carve through the waves whereas a flat bottom like to ride on top of them and "Jump". About the best you can do is slow down a bit! Weight distribution and speed are key.
