Bought the wrong tank

I am doing the final steps to putting my 1960 crestliner back into action and wanted to have the correct tank like came with it. The old one was damaged or rusted and I threw it out years ago. I saw a add on craigslist that had a tank that I though was just like my old one and went a got it for 25bucks and didnt look at it more than a few seconds. Got home and what I have I think is one made for early fiftys mercurys because this tank has 2 lines. My 30hp uses just one. I need to know why Im buying next time....hate to waste 25 bucks .....Would be very hard to go and get my money back cause the guy didnt try to twist my arm in fact I never met him He left the tank by his shop and said if he wasnt there when I got there to see if it was what I needed and if so just slip the money under the front door mat......I did. I guess I should have just went to a dealer and got a new one that works. Might just do that.

picture of the tank, sounds like a 2 line J/E pressure tank.

Sounds like a Tank that I could use, if there's No Rust...

The avatar is a picture of it. I will take some pictures so I can send them. The tank seems to have no rust but I cant figure out how to open it. May be stuck.

thefairlaneman - Does the end of the hose have a double prong connector like this?

Nope it looks like my temporary avatar.What you got looks like a johnny. My engine is a 1960 mercury 35 HP

Ayuh,... I've never seen Anything like that before,...
