As video shows. When I take off the carb linkage and throttle each carburettor individually the bottom cylinder sounds groggy in comparison.

- 110 compression on all cylinders
- Replaced stator
- Made sure fuel supply is good
- Carb freshly cleaned and assembled properly
- Have tried switching Coils
- New stator
- New voltage regulator
- New spark plug leads
- Apparently new cdi
- New and correct spark plugs according to cdi spec
- DVA tested the CDI all getting ~200v+ to each coil
- Tried adjusting air fuel screw on the carb
- Tried switching carbs and problem maintains on bottom cylinder

Appreciate any help thanks

Had one in the shop, the boss had overhauled it, sold it. It came back blown up again. The middle cylinder both times. He had me tear it down ti investigate, At first I didn't see anything that stood out. As I was re-assembling I was looking at the flywheel and the timing ring didn't look right. It was loose on the flywheel. It had moved a bit resulting in the timing being off. Showed the flywheel to a local college tech teacher and he never saw that happen either. A new flywheel was installed and sold again. It ran perfect for many years after that.

I think I did look at the magnets a little while ago but I'll consider that. Cheers.

If the inner ring was loose , it would give the same result for each cylinder.

Okay so I got a spark tester and the bottom cylinder has a weak spark in comparison to the top two.

Since I've replaced virtually everything in the ignition except the timer base and CDI, would I be correct in assuming it's probably one of these things?

Timer base just tells pack when to fire , has no control on spark voltage output. Pack has single capacitor that share all 3 cylinders. Pack could have a weak switching to output of that cylinder. Need to DVA test pack output to cylinders to see if its pack/coil or wire

Yeah. I guess I just wasn't sure whether the timer base had the possibility of influencing it. It's good to know I can disregard that then.

I've checked coils and wires. I dva tested the pack output and got ~200v on each cylinder but I guess I'll do it again to make sure

Carb....

Advancing the carb throttle without the timer?.....well not sure.

Spray something like carb cleaner or propane into the carb shaft at idle and report.
Might just be a bad carb.
