bonnet busted

Help, my water bonnet top collapsed under the weight of the last snowstorm here in Pa. I tried contacting the manucafturer but they dont make them anymore. I think I need to save the old one because of the snaps that are screwed in all around the boat, has anyone had this happen or needed to replace an alumnim tube frame to their top. I thinking electrical conduit but not sure the connections to other parts of the frame will match, diameter needs to match for sleeve type connections

Electrical conduit 1/2" I think will work. I made a bimini top using it and salvaged the hardware from the original top.
